Job Description:
IOE is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Communications Officer (Temporary Maternity Leave Cover). The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Communications Team in delivering effective internal and external communications. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in both English and French is essential, and proficiency in additional languages—particularly Spanish—is a strong asset. Prior experience in a similar role within international organisations or business environments is highly desirable.
Description of Duties:
- Provide graphic design support for the website, social media, and multimedia content, in line with the Editorial Group’s guidance.
- Under the supervision of the Communications Officer – Content Manager, assist with the production and publication of content via the TYPO3 CMS on ioe-emp.org and the Members' Area in English, French, and Spanish.
- Coordinate the distribution of IOE news articles and newsletters through MailChimp.
- Ensure timely updates and task tracking within the Asana project management system.
- Edit and disseminate the IOE monthly newsletter in three languages.
- Support the production of IOE publications in English, French, and Spanish, under the guidance of the Communications Officer – Content Manager.
- Assist with data management within the CRM system.
- Provide backup support for translation coordination, including maintaining accurate records in Asana, liaising with external translators, and addressing translation-related queries.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication or a related field preferred.
- Strong graphic design skills.
- Knowledge of CMS and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with the communications and marketing field.
- Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Outstanding communication skills in English are required; fluency in French and knowledge of Spanish are strong assets.
- Meticulous, attentive to detail, highly organised, proactive.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with digital tools.
Remuneration:
A competitive remuneration package will be offered.
Conditions:
Starting date: 1 August 2025 – 31 March 2026 Work percentage: 80%. Duration: Temporary Cover Maternity Leave Based in Geneva
