The World Organisation Against Torture – OMCT

Description

The World Organisation Against Torture (Organisation Mondiale Contre la Torture – OMCT in the French acronym) works with around 200 member organisations which constitute its SOS-Torture Network, to end torture, fight impunity and protect human rights defenders worldwide. Together, we make up the largest global group actively standing up to torture in more than 90 countries. By helping local voices be heard, we support our vital partners in the field and provide direct assistance to victims. Our international secretariat is based in Geneva, with offices in Brussels and Tunis.

Background & objectives

OMCT is looking for a travel agency to carry out travel management services for its Geneva and Brussels offices.

The team is composed of over 40 staff who go on around 120 missions (trips) per year. Such missions are undertaken mainly by air with 65%-35% ratio for European and Intercontinental travels. Estimated annual budget for missions: 150-200 k€.

The organization wishes to optimize the travel processes while using an easy-to-use self-booking system allowing its employees to make their own travel arrangements with the help of built-in travel policies and while benefitting from a 24/7 customer care to help them manage any issues that might pop up along their mission.

Scope of work

The organization is looking for a travel agency providing the following travel management services:

  1. User-friendly self-booking engine: an account created for each employee (traveler) to manage his/her travel arrangements + an account allowing to manage travel arrangements for all the staff as well as for non-employee travels
  2. Extensive travel inventories with multiple transportation options: access to comprehensive transportation and accommodation providers with price, date and flexibility options comparisons
  3. 24/7 easy-to-access travel assistance: emergency support when needed
  4. Built-in approval workflows: integration of travel approval workflows and a travel policy into the travel management platform to increase compliance and simplify travel management
  5. Centralized invoice collection and payment
