This privacy and cookies policy (“ Privacy Policy “) relates to the use of personal data collected through the website, accessible online and available at https://www.cagi.ch/ (the “ Website “) and our pages available on the following social networks: Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, all managed by the Center d’Accueil de la Genève Internationale (CAGI) (” CAGI ”), (“ us ”), whose head office is located at La Pastorale, route de Ferney 106, 1202 Geneva.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Website and our pages available on social networks. This Privacy Policy explains how information relating to an identified or identifiable person (“ Personal Data ”) is collected, used and protected.

By using our Website and our pages available on social networks, you acknowledge and accept the collection and processing of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not accept, please do not use our Website or our pages available on social networks.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the CAGI Website Terms and Conditions (“ GTC ”).

2. RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESSING

3.1

We use the Personal Data collected through our Website and our pages available on social networks, as described below, to provide the following services:

  • Information relating to the CAGI and its services;
  • Different ways to get in touch with us, through registration forms (for example to receive invitations to social events, language exchange scholarship, thematic conferences, excursions, request for tickets for shows at the Cultural Kiosk and other activities of the CAGI or to be informed of the publication on the Website of job offers which correspond to your search criteria);
  • Creation of accounts (for example within the framework of the job exchange);
  • Publication of offers (eg job offers);
  • Link to the Delegates Welcome application, managed by the CAGI;
  • Links to other third-party websites and the ability to like or share content on social networks (eg Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin).

3.2

This Privacy Policy describes our regulations and procedures relating to the collection and processing of Personal Data that you may communicate to us by visiting our website or by using one of the services described above.

3.3

This Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered offline.

This Personal Data collected may include your first and last names, nationality, private and professional address, e-mail, sector of activity and profession.

We use the Personal Data that you provide to us:

  • invite you, through the e-mail address you have given us, to social events, language exchange scholarships, thematic conferences, excursions and other CAGI activities;
  • inform you, by means of the e-mail address that you have given us, of the publication of job offers that correspond to your search criteria;
  • allow you to create an account so that you can post a job offer.

This Privacy Policy does not cover how your Personal Data is processed by third parties when we link to their websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of other websites you visit.

7. COMMUNICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

We may give access to the Personal Data that you have communicated to us through our Website or our pages available on social networks to certain independent contractors and affiliated companies so that they can assist us in the exploitation said Website or said pages available on social networks. To date, these contracting parties are as follows:

  • IT service provider: Prezenz Sàrl, located in Switzerland;
  • Host of computer data for the Website: Infomaniak Group SA, located in Switzerland;
  • Management of invitations sent by email: Wise Suite Eventwise, located in Switzerland.

We take all necessary measures to ensure that your Personal Data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. All of our contracting partners undertake to protect Personal Data by means of procedures similar to ours, except as provided otherwise in this Privacy Policy.

The purpose of sharing your Personal Data with the aforementioned third parties is to ensure our activity, as well as to maintain and seek to constantly improve our Website and the services offered to our users. Thus, the justification for this processing is that of our overriding private interests.

8. COMMUNICATION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO THE AUTHORITIES

We may disclose your Personal Data (including your communications) if we believe it is necessary for security reasons, to investigate a potential breach or other violation of this Privacy Policy and/or to prevent harm that may occur. could be caused to other users of our Website or our pages available on social networks. 10. TRANSBORDER COMMUNICATION OF PERSONAL DATA

If, due to certain services provided by third parties, we are required to transfer your Personal Data to one of their databases outside the European Economic Area, and/or Switzerland, potentially to a State with no not a level of protection of personal data comparable to that prevailing in Switzerland or in the European Economic Area, unless otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we undertake to enter into an agreement with the third party service provider to ensure an adequate level of protection of your Personal Data.

We undertake to give you access, without delay and within the limits of a reasonable request, to our files relating to the violation of your Personal Data, provided however that this does not give you access to files which would belong to other users or which could compromise their security.

11.3

In the event of a proven or suspected violation of Personal Data, we undertake to notify the case to the competent authority under the applicable law.

12. MANAGEMENT OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA (YOUR RIGHTS)

Right to access and update your Personal Data : Whenever we process your personal data, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Data is kept accurate and updated for the purposes for which it was collected. .

12.2

Right to delete your Personal Data : You can request the deletion of your Personal Data at any time, subject to the retention obligations imposed on us. We may retain de-identified (anonymous) information after your Personal Data is deleted.

12.3

Right of rectification : You have the right to obtain rectification of Personal Data concerning you if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

12.4

Right to object: Within the limits of the law, you have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data.

Right to restriction of processing : Within the limits of the law, you have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of your Personal Data.

Right to portability of personal data : You have the right to obtain a copy of your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

Right to withdraw consent : Within the limits of the law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time when the processing of your Personal Data is based on it.

Right to complain to a supervisory authority : You have the right to complain to any competent supervisory authority about the collection and use of your Personal Data.

We may ask you to prove your identity before responding to a request based on the above rights or otherwise related to your Personal Data.

13. STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

13.1

We keep the Personal Data that you transmit to us to the extent required to access and use our Website and our pages available on social networks, as well as the functionalities found on them, as well as only to the extent that is required to comply with our legal obligations (for example if we are required to retain your Personal Data under applicable law), to resolve a dispute or to enforce agreements we have entered into and our internal regulations .

13.2

We automatically delete all personal data from accounts that have been inactive for more than 5 years. We send users of inactive accounts an email notifying them that their account will soon be deactivated. The user has 30 days from the date the email was sent to reactivate their account. If the user does not act within this period, the Personal Data will be automatically deleted.

13.3

We reserve the right to retain data in a de-identified (i.e. anonymous) form subsequent to the deletion of your Personal Data.

14. TERMINATION, SUSPENSION OR CLOSURE OF ACCOUNT

14.1

14.1. We can block, close or suspend a user’s account, as well as prohibit the use of the services according to the conditions defined in the T&Cs.

14.2

In the event that your user account is blocked, closed or suspended, your Personal Data will be retained in accordance with art. 13 above.

15. PERSONAL DATA RELATING TO MINORS

15.1

We do not provide services specifically aimed at children through our Website and we do not proactively collect Personal Data relating to them.

16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

16.1

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time by posting, without notice, a new version on this page or on a deeper page. In this case, you will be informed by a notification on the home page of our Website. By continuing to access or use our Website or our pages available on social networks after the entry into force of this modification, you agree to the processing of your Personal Data in accordance with the revised Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these changes, please do not use our Website and our pages available on social networks.

16.2

We undertake to always process your Personal Data in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of collection of such data.

16.3

The new version of the Privacy Policy comes into force on the day of its publication, the day mentioned at the top of this Privacy Policy corresponding to the date of entry into force.

17. MISCELLANEOUS

17.1

Any failure by us to enforce any authority or provision of this Privacy Policy shall not be construed as a waiver of such authority or provision.

If one of the provisions of this Privacy Policy should be considered void or unenforceable by a judicial authority, the other provisions of this Privacy Policy, the other provisions of this Privacy Policy will not be affected in any way.
